ve1delemmel (chmod) hanem ku2lo2n afs utasi1ta1sokkal kell mindent

van ingyenes va1ltozata is, ingyenes kliens biztos van (linux alatt).

                             AFS Commands

   1. The fs Commands
   This  chapter  defines the fs commands that users and system
   administrators employ to contact  the  File  Server  and  to
   configure  the  Cache  Manager.    It  assumes the reader is
   familiar with the  concepts  described  in  the  AFS  System
   Administrator's Guide.

   Some  fs  commands  extend  UNIX  file  system  semantics by
   invoking file-related functions that UNIX does  not  provide
   (setting  access  control  lists,  for  example).   Other fs
   commands help users control the  performance  of  the  Cache
   Manager  running  on  their  local client workstation.  When
   using fs commands, pay particular attention to the  kind  of
   privilege required, as it varies from command to command.

   2. The pts Commands
   This   chapter   defines   the   pts  commands  that  system
   administrators  and  regular  users  use  to   contact   the
   Protection  Server.   It assumes the reader is familiar with
   the concepts described in  the  AFS  System  Administrator's
   Guide.

   AFS  augments  and  refines  the  standard  UNIX  scheme for
   controlling access to files and  directories.    Instead  of
   relying  only on the mode bits that define access rights for
   individual files, AFS  associates  an  access  control  list
   (ACL) with each directory.  The ACL lists the user and group
   access rights to the  files  in  the  associated  directory.
   Each  ACL  applies  to  all  of  the files in its associated
   directory.  Using ACLs allows AFS  to  define  seven  rights
   rather  than just the standard three.  (It is still possible
   to set the mode bits, but AFS interprets them in a different
   way;  see  the  chapter  on  protection  in  the  AFS System
   Administrator's Guide for details.)

   Another refinement to the standard UNIX protection scheme is
   that  users  can define their own protection groups and then
   place the groups on ACLs  as  though  they  were  individual
   users.  This makes it easy to assign the same rights to many
   people simultaneously.   Groups  make  it  possible  to  add
   someone  to many ACLS by adding them to a group that already
   exists on those ACLs (and it  is  just  as  easy  to  remove
   someone  the  same  way).  Machines can also be members of a
   group.  When logged into a machine that is  a  member  of  a
   group,  a  user  is  given  all of the access rights of that
   group.

   The Protection Server maintains a Protection  Database  that
   stores  entries  for groups, individual users, and machines,
   and  charts  the  membership  relationships  between   them.
   The pts command interface allows system  administrators  and
   regular  system  users to create, modify, and delete entries

Kosz, de en kicsit maskent ertelmezem a SVR4 kompatibilitast. Pl. 
elvarnam az AIX-tol, hogy a system adminiszracoi szintjen is felmutasson 
bizonyos minimalis hasonlosagot. Mondjuk jol esne, ha a file systemeket 
az '/etc/fstab'-bol mountolna aminek a formatuma 'fs directory type 
options' lenne. Na most ez nem igy van, pedig ezen a szinten meg a regi 
BSD es SysV is kompatibilis volt. Ezen kivul van meg persze szamtalan 
furcsasaga az AIX-nek.

Mas. A menuvezerelt, ablakos system menagement toolsok elso pilanatra tenyleg
kenyelmesnek tunnek. Node masodik pillanatban gyakran kiderul, 'kaka van a
palacsintaban'. Mert neked sajnos tulsagosan extra kivansagaid vannak a
konfiguracioval kapcsolatban, es azt - de persze csak azt - nem tamogatja. 
Ezen kivul azt a hamis biztonsagerzetet kelti, hogy 'systemet minden 
hulye tud administralni'. Ami persze nem igy van, es kesobb eleg sok baj 
szarmazik belole.....

Meg tudna valaki mondani, hogy hol lehet egy PCI local bus specifikaciot
szerezni. A WWW-n egy ora keresgeles nem vezetett eredmenyre. Ha valaki a
konzorcium tagjait tudja (az Intelen kivul), az is nagy segitseg lenne.

En korulbelul 400 darab IBM 750C gepben csereltem ki a hibas
P90-et egy jo P90-re az elmult 1 honapban, es egyiken sem volt
ventillator, csak hutoborda. A fent nevezett gepekben az egyetlen
ventillator a szabvany tapegysegekbe epitett ventillator.

Amugy a P90 nem +3V-rol megy, mint ahogy multkor irtam, hanem
+3.3V-rol.
